Tanja Gorenc, in practice for ten years, team of 13
After obtaining a Master’s in Human Resources and Labor Relations and nearly two decades in the field, I shifted my focus to helping my community, starting with mental health counseling.
I realized that we mental health practice owners do not receive business education while in counseling graduate school and there is a big need for that support! I enjoy "blending both worlds" to help other mental health practice leaders take the next steps within their practice.
I bring a how-can-we-make-this work mindset, pulling on my depth of experience in corporate human resources supporting a variety of industries, with decades of experience working in my family's business into the complex and nuanced work we do in the mental health field.
I believe more heads are better than one! So, I am fortunate to have a network of other talented experts to draw from for your particular needs - from financial forecasting, employment law, marketing and more.

In what areas of mental health private practice are you most experienced?
I have experience and deep passion to support practice owners in efforts related to growing their practices, topics including-- talent assessment and career pathing, determining benefits offers and total rewards and structure/entity changes (eg. moving from 1099 to W2 model) .
I have a master's in Human Resources and Labor Relations, as well as in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, so consulting clients of mine like that I can "speak both the language of business and our profession".
What is your typical approach when working with a new client/private practice?
My approach is to first complete a Needs analysis - this looks like a conversation with the Practice Owner of strengths and opportunities they see in their business. This allows us to have clarity in drawing up the Statement of Work, which can guide further efforts in my coaching support.
